>>10778975I rarely collect figures from IPs I'm a fan of, primarily because my favorite shows don't get made into figures but also because liking the characters design itself is even more important to me than the show theyre from. I just make up my own headcannon for characters I don't know and may watch their shows later like with Girls und Panzer and Fate for example. With Capeshit thats extremely hard to do because I think the whole concept of superhero costumes looks ugly as sin and its wholly inseperable from the character. Its like having a really well made backpack but never wanting to use it because it has irremovable cringe branding on it like a Ubisoft game or Billie Eilishes face on it.
Some figures I did get because I was a fan of the shows first are Space Pirate Cobra, Patlabor robots, Robocop and SAC Motoko so yeah its all old anime shit and non shounen stuff.
