Your point is total bunk though, as there are designer toys out there with articulation, you just aren't aware of them. There are different sorts of toys. Some toys like sofubi may have limited or no articulation. Kids still love smashing those things together and having battles. Are things like Trash Pack not toys because they have no articulation? Variety is the spice of life. I like my heavily articulated stuff, and I like my brick art toys.
