>>9291071bigger needle size = more paint coming out of the nozzle when you spray.
An ultra fine needle will mean much smaller spray area, and much less paint coming out when you're airbrushing, meaning you use it for fine details like camouflage on an airplane that you get really close to the model with and use a very thin paint. Large needles are for things like primer coats, base coats, etc.
Honestly, for me I only ever use 1 medium needle size because I can do pretty much all types of things with it.
Most of the larger airbrushes you see with large paint cups are just meant for primer coats alone, and they usually have a very large needle since you're airbrushing very large quantities of paint fast with those. Then you have the fine / detail airbrushes like the iwata eclipse / harder and steenbeck infinity. I myself use an Infinity and pretty much only use the larger needle. One of these days I'll get an airbrush just for doing primers and base coats and shit too though.
>>9291074Just do it anon, join the ship building master race. Fuso is a good, really neat ship but that kit is going to be expensive as fuck unless you're doing it in 1/700. Most of the pre-WWII IJN battleships are so expensive in 1/350 since they're only made by Hasegawa / Fujimi. Hard to get your hands on them in the US too, have to order them from japan.
