He didn't even get a weird move version, if you didn't get that set, you probably didn't have a Mindbender in your modern figures at all. Well, he's probably the easiest to get second hand from that set. Should have gotten a wider release with another troop-builder instead of Mindbender, but they're really resistant to doing shit like that for whatever reason.
Assault on Cobra Island was also a great set with a lot of classic characters, those sets are the kind of shit people want. I don't even know what store those sets started at, I only found them at Ross. Why is their distribution so mysterious and nonsensical?
The way Hasbro manages Joe will never make sense to me, unless they literally want it to fail and want to be able to point the finger at the fans as much as possible.
