Lego has a reputation for QUALITY which is rapidly declining, but still valid
everybody who remembers building a Mega Bloks set, remembers that the thing was flimsy and sagging, where all Lego sets are consistently "tight" and solid
the gap is closing, you can buy a not-Lego set and it turns out it's not as terrible as you thought it would be. I recently impulse purchased a Spy Family Anya Forger set at Five Below, and it was amazing for only $5
