>>11399261I think it's more about the price. Broke anons already bitch and moan about $30 then buy entire waves of McFarlanes and multiple Batmans, but if you told them up front that a Beast Kingdom League would cost $350 they'd act like they have take out a loan from the bank.
Most consoles that are designed to become obsolete in five to ten years cost half a grand and new games that people only play for a couple months are $60.
Not a fan of the Ross designs but it's a great first wave that shows off the quality of their sculpts and paint apps. The bigger issue might be the limited number of characters they can release compared to Mattel, who'll churn out endless reprints of the same buck with sticker logos on their chest.
If I wasn't already sitting on a League I just finished collecting I might go for them. Who knows, maybe they'll make a cool Power Girl, though Alex Ross' version looks like Dolph Lundgren with tits so maybe not.
