>>7239827That's fucking nuts but considering how high Megatron and and the recent Beast Wars guys were I can believe it. My money is on ~$350 because of the trailer. There's going to be at least three attempts at an unofficial MP G1 Prime and they're going to sell for about $125-$150 domestically. Sure you won't get an accessory loadout beyond the absolute necessities, but when you can get a serviceable Prime for less than half of what Takara is going to rake you for I can see some heads turning the other way.
This is especially true since G1 MPs are having quite a schism in aesthetic preferences. Show accurate at all costs is certainly what many people want, but a significant number really dislike that direction and the compromises to get there. Not to mention, people are still happy with MP-10 and MP-1.
