Though to be fair; in that case they only had one episode to sell Dai Atlas' toy, so they just let him and the other "Powered Masters" get a generic anime powerup to easily take down some of the old Decepticons so kids would want to buy him. King Poseidon/Piranacon and Trypticon also died, but their deaths weren't as flashy, so people don't really remember that part as much. Amusingly, Piranacon also gets played up as one of "the most powerful" combiners like Predaking does, and his track record's also pretty pathetic (though at least his jobbing wasn't as humiliating as some of Predaking's more infamous losses).
