and yeah HGs are usually smaller than MDs and FAGs, but if you want your mecha kits to be taller than your plastic girls you can buy MG 1/100 or PG 1/60 kits which are taller while at the same time being a lot more intricate than HGs, both take longer to do but it's easier because no seam welding is required(most of the time anyways), in my opinion they look better on a shelf with plastic girls since smaller ones just look kinda "off" with them.
the problem is just that they're expensive, MGs go for half the price of a fully fledged FAG/MD usually so it's up to you if you want to spend that money on something to practice on.
