>>10803548Yeah I do agree the robot mode isn't the best, he doesn't even have proper neck articulation. Energon/Superlink to me is where thanks to the toy first then animation model later mantra the anime tweaked and saved a lot of these deigns. The toys from that line feel very Bandai for some reason, blocky and dense toys with connection tabs that rival the Super Sentai Robo/Megazord toys of the time. Meanwhile the anime cleaned them up and improved on them a lot. (Picrel is concept art but still looks way better than the toys we got)
