There's something deeply satisfying about a shelf or display with an internal logic behind it. When I look at stuff on ebay it's usually an important piece. I try to restrict myself from buying stuff I have no use for. Like if I had a full set of kotor figures (revan, malak, bastila, hk-47 etc) they would look really out of place with the rest of my stuff. I kind of enjoy collecting with a clearly defined plan, because it gives me an excuse to not be jealous of rare shit. Every line/theme has its rare pieces, but they go to waste unless you do something interesting with them. It's another reason why star wars is my favourite line to collect, because it's always been first and foremost a very visual franchise and there's much more thought put into the designs and the colours and the way everything compliments each other compared to your average super heroes or transformers.
