Most of the discolouration appears to be from repainting patches. U-505 being unusually long-lived having survived three years of war. Anyway, it's your boat so weather it to taste. If you want it relatively fresh, you can justify it. If you want it a bit more beat-up, you could probably justify that too. Go easy, and build up slow until it looks right.
