>>9728840>>9728834Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think the site became worse (in some ways) ever since Generals became too standardized.
Not saying it has its uses (organization, not cluttering the board with 100 threads about Transformers or Bugmen) but it hurts board culture by being too self-isolated and helps create a gatekeeping/elitist community, which does start a lot of this shitposting and negativity.
I like threads that aren't about any toyline in particular, such as the photography or "post your toys" threads, because it's very open and I enjoy looking and talking about figures that I don't necessarily collect. It's also a way to discover new releases that you weren't familiar with prior, because you have no reason to ever lurk in ____ General when you don't exactly care about the toyline (but then they release something you actually are interested in).
