>>11639182It’s very satisfying seeing Guts finally form a JRPG party after losing everything. I just love Guts this entire arc in general, just him being silently miserable. My favorite page in the entire manga is pic rel, it breaks my heart seeing him all battered protecting someone who absolutely hates him, but he still smiles seeing her safe. Guts starting the arc wondering when he last saw Casca smile and many chapters later him silently watching Casca having fun at the beach is pure art idk what else to say. Though I agree the actual war part is nowhere near as good as the stuff before it, by then I’m heavily attached to the main cast so I still think it’s great.
