It's generally good for getting specialized parts like animals, plants, minifig parts/accessories, baseplates (32 x 32 tan is still available there) and generally any other part you're looking for
For example, I just ordered x35 of pic related for ~$50 CAD, while just one minifig costs ~$20 CAD on Bricklink
