Do I think it would look better without the ab joint? Sure. Does it bother me to the point I can't enjoy the figure? Absolutely not. In fact, when I see it now I pretty much gloss over it the same way I do with every other joint. Figma elbow and knee joints are fucking ugly too for people who only collects statueshit, but if one collects action figures you just get used to them. Same is happening to me with that ab crunch, surprisingly.
Nonetheless I hope they come up with better ways to add articulation without breaking the sculpt on figures that can't hide this joint that well (I also own Dai and Popp and given their clothes this very same ab crunch is nicely concealed), because I totally understand people disliking it.
