>>8487534I was born in 92 and by the time I got old enough to even remember what ninja turtles even were, the show was done. But like
>>8487530 said, I grew up with the after-culture the show had created. All the zany themed toys and gimmick figures and fast food promotion figures and at the centre of it all were those old 5poa turtles figures. They would rerelease them in various ways over the years; with armor on, or soft heads, or with shell poppin action, etc making them easier to acquire the core 4 turtles.
Which is what I grew up with and why I completely adore the Super7 offerings. They're exactly what Classics were to people that grew up with MOTU: toys that replicated all the old qualities and gimmicks of the old toyline but with updated articulation to finally fully realize what we envisioned in our heads as we played with the toys as kids.
>>8487530>Its great playing with toys with such textural sculpts again after years of imports and modern toys with heir more polished, smooth feel.I get this. Import toys may have some of the best articulation of all toylines (modern Revos can curl into literal balls for god's sake) but there's just something about a figure that has little to no untextured surfaces that just really hits a spot. Which is why I enjoy 4h's work so much. I've been Following them since Classics. They leave little to be desired in terms of sculpts. In the toyline world, they are to detailed texture what SHF and Revo are to articulation.
