>>8278875>I thought long ago that those were basically what Revoltech based their whole toyline onThere were two or three factors that made this change. First the main revoltech line ended and was switched to Revol Mini, and due to the smaller size they required a new set of joints, which were not ratcheted. Then there was a "reboot" to the brand after Vulcanlogs from another company using the old revolver joints has shown success while Revol Mini couldn't stay cheap enough. In this reboot Yamaguchi's figures were rebranded as Amazing Yamaguchi sort of dropping the "revol" altogether as a sign of not using revolver joints for everything. Part of this also comes from Assemble Borgs showing less sales and having less need for Revoltech to provide parts. AY started to incorporate more swivels, ball joints, and joints from Revol Mini, and now has new joints designed for AY. It got so far from old revoltechs that Optimus Prime is built like a Robot Damashii mainly using ABS plastic.
