We've seen time and time again that 1:18 figures are almost always around ~$50k to get figures made, while 1:12 are ~$100k+
Without a doubt, it's cheaper for large companies like Hasbro to get stuff made.
The only reason Hasbro has switched to larger scales is because getting consumers to pay $20 is better for their bottom line than it is to get $12 from the same consumer base.
They're a publically traded company and growth must be unlimited.
