Anode raises a whole host of questions about how cybertronians work, but her whole backstory wasn't made to question or expand upon cybertronian species. If cybertronians can shape themselves to any form, why wouldn't there be some with two vehicular modes? Why not two beast forms like the mutants? Why not turn from a vehicle to some otherworldly abomination that isn't humanoid at all? What's normal for cybertronians shouldn't be what normal for humans, unless it should be in which case that should be made clear.
Point is the comics don't have enough thought put into them or are totally scared of challenging people to go to the deep ends of possibilities.
