>>7993728I couldn't bring myself to preorder this VF-4, and I think you've pinpointed the reason why. It's a good looking paint scheme; yellow and black is always in style on valks! I particularly like how the battroid chest gets that black paint with yellow trim. And dang, seeing the headsculpts side-by-side, the new one is a massive improvement.
But, the classic FB2012 scheme just looks so much better for whatever reason. Maybe it's the greater variation of colors or simple nostalgia for the FB2012 scheme. In any case, I couldn't get excited about this VF-4. It's nice that folks who missed the original release are getting a second shot at the mold as it's a great valk. And If it sticks around long enough to go on sale I'll definitely pick one up.
