The thing is that after crossing the 50€ threshold there's some things to be expected from manufacturers like decent engineering (or at least not misshapen horrors), PE, etc.
If I paid 30 or 40 something for the kitty hawk su17 then I can reasonably spend more in aftermarket to correct or justify the extra time sink you need to put into it.
Related to this, some anon said that he was surprised on how hyped new zvezda was here and he got a bit disappointed once he started his build, but the hype comes from how good they are for the price. I built their 8x8 bumerang and for the 20€ it costed me it was an absolute banger. With solid detail, no flash, no sinkmarks, no wacky ejectors marks (im looking at you RFM) and excellent fit (wheel hub was wack tho) so I wouldn't feel screwed over to spend more on PE and extra effort.
Same for their t14, koalitsiya and IL2 mod 43. Would I say they are flyhawk tier? no, of course, but neither the asking price was even close.
