I had a somewhat bad time cutting it out with regular scissors, but they aren't the best scissors to begin with. It was too soft and stretchy to be cut well with a hobby knife as well. Once I got a somewhat decent cut, the sides would constantly roll.
I also tried those long noodle balloons for socks or gloves, but they're too thick and tight to be put on the model comfortably.
