You can find this shit for months and years afterward for MSRP or less.
That said, its stupid to preorder anything. While some mass produced toys are hard to find, that doesn't mean it's impossible without giving into scalpers. But i say this as someone who still makes two trips to various stores a week during covid. maybe if you only go once a month, maybe it's good for you.
