>>10242830>doesn't understand how distribution works because he's a dumbshit zoomer who only buys from Chinese storesKEKEKEKE
You realize that nearly every US toy is made in China, right? Yet they're not charging "significant markup" for McFarlane, Hasbro, and other American company toys to "import" their toys.
Hence other Chinese companies like Hiya being able to sell their toys for only $20, despite being of higher quality than JoyToy's overpriced bullshit.
But i know, you're probably one of those shills who was caught in that other thread, hence all your posts disappearing, and you need to defend Joytoy at all costs and ignore the fact that Joytoy is setting their own prices with their official distributors.
There's retailers in the US that charge MSRP for Japanese toys, because shock and awe, Japanese companies have official distributors in the US too. Bluefin was bought by Bandai so they could keep those distribution costs to themselves. Even before that, they still kept it MSRP, hence people buying toys like those party favor TMNT at Barnes and Noble.
>b-b-b-but i bought mine at amiami who offers a discount! So do stores like Barnes and Noble and Target, hence people buying Figmas and Figuarts for as low as $20 in America. Remember when Target carried Figmas? You probably don't, since you're not in a country that has Targets.
Pic of BBTS, known for upcharging when there's no official distribution and need to import it, charging MSRP
>ib4 the yen price isnt 1:1 to dollarsNo one ever does, not even your credit card when you're in Japan. BBTS' pricing is how it's been done since at least the 80s, when i started noticing the cost of video games and cars in the US and Japan. ... and now I'm nostalgic for magazines, who made Japan seem special.
