This dude spent hours in 91% alcohol with lacquer thinner and some of this paint simply refuses to come off. I assume it's in the pores of the plastic, I'm not sure what else to do. I want to dye everything green but I'm afraid I'll end up with permanent brownish smudges. Any ideas?
>>10547267NGL, I fucked up doing this earlier today and did some gnarly cosmetic damage, the plastic got too hot and when I pulled it warped. It's nothing I can't distract the eye from with matte black paint, thankfully. I did have success with shorter capped pins, and found that if I could access the narrow end of the pin that heat + hitting it with a pin punch got me the cleanest results. I picked up some magnets to try yanking the pins but it didn't work so obviously I need a stronger one. I did get better results with the soldering iron when I used a broader tip. Better heat transfer.
