Hasbro even did double jointed elbows without them lookin bad on a female figure.
You also have various companies like Toy Notch making their Lost Planet figures featuring two torso joints and they look fantastic.
Like i said, to not feature these types of joints is just cheap and amateurish, considering how much more they bring to the poseability of the figures.
