>>9077662>People keep saying that when pieces are made for licensed brands, Mattel can't use them for in-house brands. That's correct. Mattel got in trouble for using the hawk sculpt for Zoar cause they also used it in DCUC for Beast Boy. The hawk though was originally sculpted for MOTUC not DCUC so Mattel had to explain what they did to WB/DC. After that Mattel said that they wouldn't share sculpts unless they got permission from WB first.
>>9078066>people fail to consider just how many DCUC resources were recycled into classics. That cause they didn't. This shit was proven false years ago. Even the 4H confirmed that they didn't share tooling except with the hawk sculpt. Grodd and Gygor have completely different sculpts. I own both and the fur pattern is completely different. Gygor is thinner while Grodd is more fatter. Just look at their ribs. The Tytus buck also was completely new. I can't believe people still believe these myths.
>>9078224>which makes it funny considering that the toy guide doesn't mention this at all regarding the origins of those Classics figuresAgain, that's cause it's not true at all. They were both sculpted by the 4H but that's it.
>>9078224>figure or part of a figure came from Big Jim or other Mattel lines earlier in the bookMattel owned Big Jim so they could do that. It wasn't licensed out.
>>9078240>Gygor is quite literally an upscaled groddNo he is not.
