>>9839447The wild thing is that all of them are almost great, but the fact that it just keeps getting reduced to "His punch number is bigger now" is the most boring shit possible.
>SSG introduces "God Ki", and is Goku learning how to channel the power of a God so that he can fight Beerus. One of the most important moments of the film is Goku being disappointed in himself for not being able to use that power on his own.>SSGSS is Goku and Vegeta learning how to tap into that power on their own using their Super Saiyan transformations.>Goku can use Kaioken in SSGSS because it's complete different from Super Saiyan and is calm and focused rather than an explosive and volatile power brought on through rage.>Ultra Instinct is Goku letting go of his ego and allowing his body to move on its own through, imbued with Godly powerAND THEN
>Actually SSB is just stronger SSG, and Goku can use SSG on his own for no reason>Vegeta also has SSG even though he never completed the ritual>These two points completely invalidate the narrative purpose of the whole God thing for absolutely no reason>UI is just Super Saiyan again for some reason>Ultra Ego... exists, I guessIt's this weird obsession with completely invalidating the entire plot/themes of the series to soft reboot it every single new arc. Nothing compounds, there is no progress, there is no payoff. Enjoy Gohan Blanco while you can because next arc will reveal he hasn't been training and completely forgot how to transform past Super Saiyan for the fourth time, and Piccolo will have to whip him into shape for the third time. Goku will learn how to deal with his Saiyan heritage for the third time and Vegeta will learn how to deal with his pride and his place as the last royal of a dead race for the fifth or sixth time.
