>>10206640Bro...Joytoy is one of the least stingy/lazy toy companies I can think of, they have given us a ludicrous amount of unique sculpts in less than two years. Where any other company would be content to just sit back and reuse the same pool of parts constantly, Joytoy surprises over and over with multiple unique bits and entirely new molds all the time. Like, the Ork wave could easily have been 1 or 2 basic bucks that they swapped around gear on, but instead every single one is a 100% unique sculpt as far as I can tell. And even figures that do have a lot of reuse out of obvious necessity (like Space Marines) get new bits all the time, from accessories to shoulder pads to helms to even stuff like chestplates now.
>they honestly couldn't be bothered to add some chaos bits to the powerfist they have alreadyYou can't simply "add on" to a mold. It needs to be cut from scratch to make any changes. Now, consider that and think about how many Marines have different sigils or scrolls or talismans or whatever on their greaves, shoulder pads, arms, etc. Those were all newly cut molds, so even the "basic Space Marine buck" gets a ton of new parts all the time that you may not even notice. It may not be the direction you want personally, but they are anything but stingy.
From a parts-reuse perspective, Joytoy has done better than pretty much any other company I can think of in recent years. They're pumping out new molds at a rate that I would have thought was unsustainable. If they could include even more comprehensive loadouts, I believe they would. I am almost certain that GW is pretty heavy-handed with the rules there.
