>>9464354>Just because we don’t want to engage with your weird fetishes doesn’t mean this is an “MGA echo chamber”.Monster pussies are not my weird fetish, but it was something akin to what we'd often talked about during the glory days of MH. Sure, it's dumb, but talking about Reobecca's mechanical pussy flaps is far more fun & engaging than the boring "upvote" comments the latest OMG leak gets. Nowadays we can't have fun posts like the recent reddit doll cringe posts without sticks in the mud like
>>9463295 telling people to "stop it," like they're the authority around here.
>They’re making dolls that people want to buy and Mattel is notAgree with you there, but doing better than Barbie is such a low bar to jump over that any doll maker with the gumption could make a better doll than Mattel. Only MGA is willing to do so while Mattel is content to play the waiting game, holding on till OMG fizzles out to retain top doll status. Frankly, there's been a general "Why bother?" malaise with dolls nowadays. Nobody's really putting any effort into doll making anymore. It's probably due to shrinking child market, rising manufacturing costs, and feminism questioning every little thing about dolls.
And no, the answer is not drinking the kool-ade and give into the OMG/RH cult. I know I'm not the only one who doesn't like their HUEG heads and golly-woog eyes. But more damming for me is that they just don't have the personality like MH/EAH or even Life in the Dreamhouse had. All the dolls look like they came from the same cookie cutter dress-up flash game.
I just want normal proportioned, well articulated dolls with personality, but I guess that's too high of a standard in today's doll market.
