As for Soul Crusher, it seems like they were heading somewhere with that character and it's still unclear who he is or what his motivations are, nor how he has all of those WW1 masks and other equipment so I expect them to explore that more in the future.
I don't think he's permanently dead yet.
Moreover, he had a toy so I'm assuming they have something planned with that character.
He's a bit like their evil equivalent of Batman so I'd be surprised if he doesn't come back.
