Are netsuke figures suitable for use as key ring charms? I'm thinking of getting some of these gashapon fox souls, they're labeled as netsuke and have a strap attachment but I'm not sure how well they would hold up on keyrings. They're fully painted and I don't want the paint to come off or scratch knowing they're going to rub against the keys inside my pockets. Also the bottom tip and the spirit piece on the head look pretty fragile, especially since it's all clear plastic these parts look like they could break off easily if I'm not very careful.
I looked into netsukes in general and I still don't have a good idea of where they're supposed to be hanged, their original purpose of belt pouch holders seems obsolete now and I found no examples of their use in modern times but they're still widely produced with modern designs so I dunno.
