My Iron Panther arrived today. It's exactly the foil for the Mauler that I hoped it would be. Similar size and gun caliber, and it fits two Cobra crew
men comfortably. It came with one of its original missiles and it actually has a pretty good firing range. The cannon can move on two axis, although I realized it takes more pressure to move it up and down than I would have expected. Likewise, the door flaps need a bit of force to lock in place, which took me aback a bit because I expect everything today to be super fiddly and fragile. Overall, a great tank. I'm glad to have it in my Cobras' arsenal.
Also, I finally got batteries for my mauler, and much to my delight the electronics all work perfectly. The only part I'm waiting on before I put the other skirt back on is the bogey wheel assembly since one of mine came broken. I'll eventually want to get some aftermarket replacements for the other little greeblies that are missing, and that's gonna set me back probably another $40 unless I have a resin printer by then and can make them myself.
