The other faction is LunaCorp, an offshoot of the CS faction that didn't become Futuron and instead went on to form a private company that deals less with exploration and more with mining and resource acquisition.
They've got some pretty good ship designs that Blacktron 1 has decided to acquire for themselves to fill certain roles in their fleet after doing some modifications.
Here's a shot of two interceptors - the original LunaCorp variant and the Blacktron I derivative that has slightly different propulsion and an upgraded weapons platform.
