Happily, articulation is mostly unhampered by the addition of the armor, though the skirt armor likes to pop off when you move the legs due to how they're connected to the leg armor.
Bandai did try to account for this. The tubes connect the skirt/leg armor using ball joints and the tubes are also pliable plastic to allow for unrestricted movement of the legs despite the connection, but the ball joints are fairly stiff and are more likely to dislodge the skirt armor before moving at the ball joints.
