This is KV-1 with cast turret (+ ZiS-5 gun) and reinforced armour (25 plates welded on top of 75mm glacis), of late production series (Jan-Aug 1942), Chelyabinsk Plant. Pretty much the apex of original KV series.
They are rather obscure because their production peaked in the first half of 1942, meaning they are already too late for Battle of Moscow and too early to participate in Kharkov or Stalingrad.
