>>6017909The base is actually the base of one of those plastic model display cases made for cars. Since I was too lazy to make it properly, I outlined the waterline hull with clear glue, then spread lines of tamiya putty to make "waves" across the base. Then, I sprayed the entire thing Vallejo German gray and then poured scenery water on it. when that dried, I drybrushed it to bring out the wake and whitecaps.
