>>11094691>but the prices on everything have gone up ridiculously. It's literally all price gouging. COVID tipped off corporations that they could jack up prices for no reason and people would still buy. They're all crying about harsh times, but then bragging about record-setting profits.
The problem is that every major corporation in America has to promise shareholders endless growth potential in order to be seen as successful and relevant. Eventually you hit a breaking point where your entire profit margin has been so min-maxed that you can't get anything else out of it, so something else has to give. It's one of the reasons so many companies are complaining people don't want to work, yet refusing to hire; COVID taught them they can force more responsibilities onto fewer people and get away with paying them less. And thanks to croneyism, certain legislation has made it possible for understaffed corporations to receive a government stipend as long as it SEEMS like they're looking to hire; this is why there were so many people telling stories about how they've sent out over 30 something resumes and never even got a single call back. As long as the company posts the listings, they get free money.
I deal with it firsthand in my job. Companies are just giving you less and less and asking more and more. Customer service and management has gotten so sloppy to the point that it seems purposefully bad just to discourage people from asking companies to actually do their job. I'm in charge of a fleet of vehicles that are still under warranty, but the warranty department has become such a shitshow that weeks of retarded, redundant emails lead up to nothing getting done at all.
tl;dr: America is a ponzi scheme that's just past the point where it runs out of money to pay out to keep tricking people. It's only gonna get worse, so buckle up.
Uh, and yeah, like toy robots or something. On topic discussion, and so on and so forth...
