Long time no see, stayed away from these threads due to an issue that basically lost me enough money to buy a junker of a car, last time I try to SAVE money with transformers while still buying, from now on all local sellers that aren't retail shelves are scammers.
But anyway I have this odd urge now to collect both hasbro and takara versions of certain transformers, the first is TR astrotrain, I like the takara colors better but something about hasbro's really work for me, sadly octane and blitzwing I won't be buying doubles of (the stickers and paint jobs are horrible on local ones, even sales aren't enough to rope me in), but thanks to that amazon deal I managed to import TR overlord here for less than local leader price even after shipping, fuck you Australian retail you make me sick, especially since we haven't had him locally nor ramhorn.
I got exactly what I expected, I hate stickers but these aren't so bad and paint apps are pretty good, my only issues (other than stickers) lie in the paint on the gun (its got a stress fracture from when I tried to pull it out of a port and the handle lost some paint, why paint the handle that thick, seriously) and the "knock knees" he has which leaves him in an odd balancing act, my tr skyshadow wasn't so bad for some reason, another thing too I was gonna stuff some heads in his chest but I had to spend 20mins trying to get his own head out of his head, not really designed to have anything put in there with no easy removal unless the figures back can be opened.
And the chest covers can't hold the tank for combined mode because one hinge isn't as tight as the other, not really well designed if that is how its intended to work
I await now my LG overlord, as well as the bulk of this month's pre-orders from hlj, MP10B black convoy, mp sunstreaker and the past LG releases
