Most gunpla builders dont put as much 'effort' into their models as traditional scale modelling suggests, but to completely disregard them and all of their willingness to learn and be a part of scale modelling is tantamount to shunning car modellers who dont weather their cars because "you have to weather models or it's not proper modelling".
I'm not saying we should have lower standards when it comes to building models like the gunpla/plamo general, that diminish our distinction, but I believe we should be inviting and constructive, just like some of the people who got you into scale modelling were, despite knowing you were probably going to be complete shit. For the most part, it's been good, I havent seen many higher skill modellers shit all over the beginners because they are beginner by nature, and when someone has a legitimate question, it is answered, not deflected because "lol, git gud".
So how about you faggots who want to remain true to the archetype that creates entry barriers go fuck off because I dont see you posting shit quite nearly as good as your egos are large.
