>>6907580I picked Striker and Rioter up about a week ago, and man, this may be old news but they really are wonderful. It's something that really doesn't get conveyed through pictures but it's so bizarrely satisfying to have a toy that can stand on one foot. I was dubious on the altmodes at first, but when I actually sat down and transformed them, I got to see how freaking intricate they are and all the little ways they lock together. Seriously, Rioter's leg locks into his gunbarrels in about six separate places; it's fucking wild.
About my only critique is the accessories. Striker's gun is a bit bland and his axes are a cool concept but end up being a bit too small, while Rioter's fusion cannon is pretty much exactly what it needs to be but the sword just doesn't feel natural on him (yeah, it's based on the movie, but I just can't get him into a cool pose with it). I tend to compromise by giving the sword to Striker, since he has better wrist joints. I've heard of Striker Noir and how he comes with a lot of really nice weapons, but the dude is sold out everywhere and 3P + secondary market + limited run is not a good equation, especially for a repaint.
