Is there anything I can try to do to force myself to like the movie aesthetic? Because I should have already accepted it by now that Bayformers IS Transformers and no other part of the franchise actually matters. Bayformers is the biggest part of the franchise and hs been the entire core of it for a while.
G1 and Beast Wars only lasted 3 years each. Meanwhile, there's plans to keep doing the movies for a whole other decade. Everything before is just a relic of the past and their its legacy dwarfed by Bayformers. They're basically retroactively spin offs now.
Everything else in the meantime is just spin offs, accessory tot he movies, often borrowing stylistically form them. Even though I like Prime (despite Beast Hunters having some of the ugliest toys/designs I've ever seen in my life) and RiD 2015 and thus can tell myself I'm not a curmudgeon stuck in the past, I really can't adapt or accept the reality
I feel old and disposable.
So yeah, is there a certain mindset I can put myself in so I can like the movie designs and the movie toys? Or hell, just the movies in general? I keep falling asleep whenever I try to watch them.
