Traditional outfits are beautiful, so if they want to put the Japanese doll in a kimono they should just fucking do it. There are ways to do a kimono that are modern and actually reflect how Japanese teens dress. Buy one teen magazine, that’s all the designers need to do. Recognizing the significance of modern fashion is just as important as honoring traditional, but Lila looks like all they studied were 2004 Gwen Stefani commercials
