I ended up liking the aesthetic over time but honestly it wouldn't be hard to have an MP Sideswipe with better chest proportions. Badcube's Sideswipe does it just fine by swapping out the hood for a more narrow panel. That's not a good figure but the chest transformation is like the one part of it that's actually really good.
I kind of wish Takara did actual V2s of their cars instead of just doing the shitty + repaints. I'm not going to assume they'd be better but Id rather see an actual attempt at making cartoon accurate MP carbots than just have them try and shove these MPs that are ostensibly not made for cartoon displays onto the same shelves as stuff like Sunstreaker and Megatron.
