>>10236034The hull is plank-on-frame, which is probably the easiest way to do it (bread-and-butter is SIMPLER, but you will be carving forever). The superstructure is all plastic sheet, I bought a huge 4x8 sheet of .060 thou years ago and still have some left over. Sometimes I use it for the deck as well.
when you say 'get into it' do you mean scratchbuilding or R/C botes? Easiest way to do the latter is converting one of the large plastic kits. Second-easiest is buying a pre-made fibreglass hull, that takes care of all the heavy work you need to do.
