All so that playmates could make new figures based on future bad guys from the cartoon. There was a redeco'ed dick tracy car meant to suffice as the crusaders' mode of transportation, in addition to a a boat and a few other vehicles. Playmates had big plans for the crusaders, it's really a shame nothing came of those plans considering the show got destroyed by parents groups. This was also supposed to be the wave which eould have given us Polluto the garbage godzilla monster.
