>>5462654>The sculpt is good, the minifig is awesome but the paint in the armor makes it look really cheap, which could be avoided with other kind of paint like the one the brown marine guy has in the delta series.>>5463286>There is no paint on that, it's swirls and flecks right in the plastic itself.Well there IS paint on the helmet, but yeah, Mega Bloks does "Camo effect" (Read mixing in flecks and swirls different colored plastic) on a lot of figure armor and bricks.
The best looking are either the Olive Drabs (The Marbling actually DOES give it a camouflage look), or the Metallic (Where any speckling is glitter to make it twinkle).
Thankfully nearly all the Elites seem to be Metallic.
>>5462734>Im saying this because the other day i was at a toy store, and there was girl crossing, she saw a box and grabed it, then said "OH MY GOD IS MONSTER HIGH LEGO!!!", inmediatly she said "Oh wait, it is mega bloks no Lego, PUAG">And im like.... girl, i doubt you should care that much for the branding when you for sure dont know the amount of details about a brand and another....>>5462745>But when they seem to favor a brand over other just because the name, then is kind of weird.>>5462804>Well, Lego actually does have a very different quality from other brick brands. Mega Bloks feel a bit cheap.>>5462836>and i doubt a 10 years old will be know the differences between brick qualityEh, you'd be surprised...
I was talking with a woman about the differences in building toy product quality, and she then told me why it suddenly made sense that her son outright refused Mega Bloks instead of Lego.
