The problem is the companies that shown interest have no creative engineering or not willing to put in the effort. 1000toys are very capable of doing something like the RD ver ANIME, which can do the model clipping through clever joint placements and collapsing panels. But it seems they took the easy way, pretty standard jointing but change the armor design to make posing less difficult. I think to do what the RD is doing the parts count and time to engineer such precise part interactions was not in the budget. And it still needs changes to the design to make it happen. They can't have toys aimed towards US get into the $200's.
