>>10243592Sure is retard who didn't read OP.
OP says we've entered a dark age NOW, but the fact is that OP has been living in a dark age that started in 2007, when Chinese slaves revolted and costs started going up, causing EVERYONE to cut their budgets, while increasing costs.
OP has been living in the dark ages and wasn't even aware of it, like some child living in rural Uzbekistan. OP doesn't even know what peak was if he considers budget paint apps, cheap plastics, a few (if any) accessories, for $20-90 are amazing deals
>>10244202Missing the point: Figma has official distribution in the US and ONE example is of Target selling their toys for MSRP, same as Japan.
This is how distribution works out, vs an overseas distrubitor buying wholesale from Good Smile and then reselling their stock overseas at mark up to US retailers. Or even the US retailer buying directly from overseas at MSRP and marking it up to resell it.
Domestic distribution nets you wholesale prices, which is what Barnes and Noble, Gamestop, Target, and hundreds of other retailers use for lines from Good Smile, Bandai, and who knows how many other Japanese companies have local distribution.
